Real Wedding Inspiration: Bridesmaid Pashmina Shawls

In 2011 Fashion Trends, Bridal Fashion, Bridesmaid Pashmina Shawls, Fashion Scarves, Get the Look, Pashmina Scarves, Pashmina Shawls and Scarves, Summer Scarves, Women's Scarves on July 27, 2011 at 10:56 pm

Bridesmaid pashmina shawls are the ideal gift and wedding accessory for bridesmaids, mother-in-law and mother of the bride. The elegant pashmina shawls are extremely versatile and easy to wear so your bridesmaids will be able to use them even after the ceremony is over.

Some of our wonderful customers were kind enough to send us their wedding day pictures and today we’re sharing them with you so you can find some real wedding inspiration for your bridesmaids’ gifts. Plus, in case you are having trouble picking out a pashmina shawl to match your bridesmaids’ dress, these photos might help you with the matching process!

The pashminas were the perfect gift! We got the Mouse Gray color and they went perfectly with the dresses and I know they have all used them since as well. – A. Strauss (Denver, CA)

* The Mousse Gray Pashmina Shawl is currently unavailable, but we suggest the lovely Green Gray Pashmina Shawl instead.

I got married in Key West in January. It was barely 60 degrees the day of our wedding, so the pashminas were an absolute lifesaver! The girls wore them all night. They also added a beautiful pop of color to our party. – W. Johnson

If you’re opting for metallics when it comes to your bridesmaids’ dresses, accessorize them with a shawl in a rich, vibrant color. We recommend the Deep Burgundy Pashmina Shawl, the Bubblegum Pashmina Shawl or the Cranberry Pashmina Shawl

These shawls will add a much needed pop of color to any dress and will keep your bridesmaids warm in case the weather gets chilly!

The pashminas were perfectly priced and absolutely gorgeous. My bridesmaid dresses were black, and the pashminas added the perfect pop of color. They also helped keep my bridesmaids keep warm on a cooler night. One of my bridesmaids (who has been in many weddings) told me that the pashmina was the best bridesmaid gift she had ever received! – E. Leman (Naperville, IL)

Baby blue is one of the loveliest pashmina colors and will beautifully compliment your bridesmaids’ dresses.

I ordered my bridesmaids the coral pashminas from La Purse as a gift for being in our wedding. We got married on a horse farm in Kentucky in October. I chose traditional fall colors for the flowers and since the bridesmaids were wearing chocolate brown I thought coral would be the perfect accent color. The pashminas were great especially since there was a little chill in the air that day. The quality of the pashminas were wonderful and I received my shipment in a very timely manner. Thank you so much! – R. Blair, CA (Lexington, KY)

A coral pashmina will look fabulous matched against a chocolate brown bridesmaid dress as the ones pictured above.

In 2011 Fashion Trends, About Scarves, Fashion Scarves, Get the Look, Pashmina Scarves, Pashmina Shawls and Scarves, Summer Scarves, Women's Scarves on July 22, 2011 at 6:09 pm

During summer we are all about minimal clothing: basic T-shirts, maxi dresses, cute skirts and gladiator sandals. The heat isn’t really allowing us to load up on clothes or rock the “layering” trend we all love so much so the only thing left to do to make our looks pop is accessorizing.

First, there’s statement jewelry. You can’t go through summer without enriching your jewelry collection with a couple of statement necklaces, cocktail rings and big earrings.

Second, we love statement scarves. These are perfect for summer evenings, when the weather cools a little and you need extra coverage. Here are our top ten statement scarves and since these pieces speak for themselves, we’ll let you decide if you love them as much as we do:

Fall/Winter 2011 Scarf Color Trends: Pretty Pastels

In 2011 Fashion Trends, Fashion Scarves, Get the Look, Pashmina Scarves, Pashmina Shawls and Scarves, Women's Scarves on July 20, 2011 at 3:22 pm

We know it’s mid-July, but fashion-forward ladies must know future trends so they can be prepared when the new season starts. We have been keeping an eye on what’s going on on the catwalks and as the pre-fall collections made their debut we have noticed a future trend emerging.

Must-have for fall: pretty pastels. If up to this moment, neon colors were everywhere, invading our wardrobes, for the end of the summer/beginning of fall we get to break out from all the neons and enter the world of sweet pastel colors. Baby blue, light pink, yellow and lavender are the colors you should be looking for next time you go shopping. Designers have already presented us with pastel creations, from feminine dresses to menswear-inspired suits, so get ready to see much more of this trend in the months to come.

Future scarf trends include pastels as well so get ready to adorn yourself with silky pashminas and fashion scarves in pretty tones of pink and blue. The trendiest scarf collections include basic pastels, like light pink, bubble gum, baby blue , as well as bold combos of pastels.

Light Pink Pashmina Shawl

Baby Blue Pashmina Shawl

Butter Yellow Pashmina Shawl

Lavender Pashmina Shawl

For fashion-forward ladies we suggest bold pastel color combinations and fun styles and designs.

Double Layered Purple Print Silk Scarf

Purple Pom Pom Ruffle Scarf

Do you think pastels are a nice break from all the bright neons?

Celebrities We’d Love To See Wearing Our Scarves

In Fashion Scarves, Pashmina Scarves, Pashmina Shawls and Scarves, Summer Scarves, Women's Scarves on July 15, 2011 at 6:55 pm

One of our guilty pleasures is keeping an eye on what celebrities wear, especially the scarves they wear. After years of observing celebrity scarf styles, we feel like we have a good grasp of the scarf style some celebrities love.

Here’s a list with the celebrities we’d love to see wearing La Purse scarves and the scarf we’d pick out for each of them.

1. Jessica Alba

We’re 100% sure that Alba owns an impressive pashmina and fashion scarves collection. The actress is rarely spotted without a scarf on her neck and for this reason she’s number one on our wish list.

The scarf we’d pick out for for her: the Vibrant Red & Pink Stripped Lycra Viscose Scarf. Alba would rock this scarf, especially if she would pair it with a cute maxi dress and gladiator sandals.

2. Nicole Scherzinger

The former Pussycat Doll loves wearing animal print so naturally we would suggest the Blue Double Layered Animal Print Silk Scarf for her.

3. Kim Kardashian

The Keeping Up With The Kardashian starts is another celebrity with a passion for fashion scarves. We got to see Kim wearing some fabulous scarves over the years and we’re sure she would look amazing if she wore Double Layered Light Colors Print Silk Scarf. The scarf would go perfectly with her skin tone and let’s not forget her passion for nude colors and feminine fabrics.

4. Jennifer Aniston

Remember the famous light pink pashmina the actress wore a year ago? Well, we’d spice things up a little and suggest she’d wear the vibrant Neon Pink Pashmina Shawl.

5. Sarah Jessica Parker

If there’s one celebrity we’d love to see wearing our bold satin ruffle scarves, that’s SJP. She would look incredible with the Ruffle Scarf Teal Blue!

6. Hilary Duff

We’d love to see Hilary wearing our Grey Holes Scarf .

Other celebrities that are constantly wearing fabulous scarves are Selena Gomez, Victoria Beckham, and Nicole Richie.

We had fun scarf-styling all these celebs for this post and we’d love to know your thoughts:

Which celebrities would you style with our scarves?

How To Shop For The Perfect Scarf For You

In 2011 Fashion Trends, About Scarves, Fashion Scarves, Pashmina Scarves, Pashmina Shawls and Scarves, Summer Scarves, Women's Scarves on July 6, 2011 at 3:57 pm

Women’s scarves can easily turn an otherwise lifeless outfit into a fashion-forward look without having to spend a ton of money on pricey accessories or anything like that. It’s easy to put on a beautiful scarf and come up with a breathtaking look!

However, shopping for the perfect scarf that suits you in every way: style, color, and fabric, has to be done a certain way. You should know that a scarf can make your look but it can also break it. Meaning that if you buy a scarf just because it is trendy; without paying attention to any other details, chances are you’ll end up ruining your look.

Scarves are usually worn very close to your face so you must check to see if the color is flattering your skin tone and if the style suits your personality. The most important is that you feel comfortable with your newly purchased scarf.

Here’s a set of useful tips to keep in mind when shopping for fashion scarves:

1. Go For The Basics

You can’t  go wrong with a stylish basic scarf, such as cashmere pashmina shawls, in a solid color like black and white or neutrals such as beige, walnut or ivory cream.

These pashminas are timeless pieces that will get you from winter to spring and look well with pretty much anything else in your closet. Sure, they are a safe choice, but better be safe than sorry.

2. Shop For Fashion Scarves To Update Your Collection

If you are a scarf collector, chances are you’re always searching for the latest fashion scarves. As you’re shopping for new scarves to add to your collection, here are some important things to keep in mind:

– Don’t over do it with colors. If you plan to wear a colored outfit, don’t pair it with a multi-colored scarf because it’s just too much. Opt either for a multi-colored scarf to go with a simple outfit, or choose a scarf that features only one of the colors of your outfit.

– Shop for a neon colored scarf to add that much needed pop of color to your look!

– Do a little bit of research before you hit the stores and find out which designs are trending right now and choose the ones that suit you best.

3. Fabrics To Shop For: cashmere, cotton, silk, wool, mohair or viscose. Opt for fabrics that not only look good, but also feel good. Remember, you’ll be wearing the scarf close to your skin.

4. Shop For Colors That Complement Your Skin Tone

5. Expensive scarves aren’t always the best ones, so search for affordable high quality. There are plenty online stores that offer a wide range of quality fashion scarves at great prices.

Happy scarf shopping!
